Pressed Leaf Art

After finding this large beautiful leaf while out on a walk, @thebohobaalika pressed it under her mattress, then had it framed at a local frame shop.

To press flowers or leaves, place them between two pieces of newspaper or parchment paper, then place heavy books on top. Leave in a dry spot for two weeks. If you don’t want to pay for custom framing, you can use a backless floating frame.

Wall Planters

These ceramic and wood wall planters from @carterandrosepdx (available in her shop) can hold air plants, dried flowers or artificial plants.

The air plants shown here don’t require any soil, but they’re actually living plants. Simply place them in a spot that receives filtered light. Every two weeks, soak them in a bowl of water for about 30 minutes.

Preserved Moss Art

Here’s another plant wall decor idea that requires no maintenance. This preserved moss art, from Etsy seller BrightBelleShop, features varying colors of moss arranged in a hexagonal wood frame.

Use one on a small wall, or multiple hexagons to fill a larger area. The preserved reindeer moss (lichen) never needs to be watered or trimmed, but it should be kept out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
