10 TNA Factions We Completely Forgot About
Ava Richardson TNA Wrestling created many gimmicks, ideas and storylines that have become forgotten in wrestling history. The company once had the expectations of becoming a viable alternative for WWE as a second major wrestling promotion. TNA would not hit in the execution of their plans and fell lower in the pecking order throughout the years. The factions to come from the company are just one of many things that failed to create a lasting legacy.

We will look at some of the groups to form in TNA that didn’t have the most long-term impact. Some of the better factions like LAX and Team Canada gets love for the positive moments they created. The following stables did not find the same level of success with runs either falling short, disappointing or just not making an impact one way or the other. These are ten factions from TNA that we completely forgot about.
10 Planet Jarrett
Jeff Jarrett dominated the early years of TNA as the top heel in the company. Fans of the company often grew tired of his title reigns and wanted some new blood. TNA doubled down on pushing Jarrett by giving him his own faction of heels in the group Planet Jarrett.
The tag team of America’s Most Wanted, top female performer Gail Kim and Abyss all joined to help Jarrett retain the title in controversial fashion. Team Canada eventually joined them as well to add more numbers to the group. Christian Cage was the one to finally dethrone Jeff and end Planet Jarrett.

9 The Menagerie
One of the stranger ideas for a faction from TNA would see Mike Knox lead The Menagerie as a stable. It played into a carnival like gimmick with Knox bringing in his old friends. The stunning Rebel joined the Knockouts division with Rob Terry playing the masked Freak character and Crazzy Steve having clown paint.
The Menagerie had its fair share of fun comedic moments, but it was not good enough to live in the long run. Knox eventually left TNA which meant group had no purpose without its leader. Crazzy Steve found more success uniting with Abyss and Rosemary in the more successful Decay faction.
8 Serotonin
Raven had his ups and downs during the time spent in TNA. The company was trying to find the right role for Raven once they joined Spike TV and the roster got deeper. Raven’s history of leading factions would see him lead the new group Serotonin.
X-Division wrestlers Frankie Kazarian, Matt Bentley and Johnny Devine all joined Serotonin under Raven’s leadership. Raven tried his best to add some unique twists to the group, but TNA had no interest in pushing them outside of the lower card picture. Serotonin ended within a few months and most fans have no memory of it.
7 The Rock 'n' Rave Infection
Another odd idea from TNA was to create a faction based on the success of the video franchises Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Lance Hoyt and Jimmy Rave became an unlikely tag team pretending to play instruments as an intentionally bad band.
Christy Hemme joined them to make it a faction as their manager and the lead singer. Fans only cared for Hemme and she received a singles push shortly after the group ended. Hoyt and Rave wasted quite a bit of time in their prime years in this lackluster comedic faction.
6 Team Pacman
TNA made a highly controversial move when hiring NFL player Adam “Pacman” Jones to wrestle for them during his suspension. Pacman had a reputation for doing horrible things off the field leading to his suspension, but it didn’t stop TNA from bringing him in.
The NFL contract of Jones had a restriction that prevented him from getting physical in TNA. This led to the faction forming with Jones, R-Truth and Consequences Creed aka Xavier Woods in Team Pacman. The others did the work while Jones just stood awkwardly at ringside.
5 The Band
Many wrestling promotions have tried to copy the New World Order faction, but TNA did it with the wrestlers from the group. Hulk Hogan had his Immortal faction that struggled and that wasn’t even the only one. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac reformed their trio with the new name of The Band.
Eric Young eventually joined, and radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge aligned with them as well. The act did not get over in 2009 since all three men were older and out of shape. TNA booked The Band as a mid-card act and that was being generous given the lack of interest from the fans.

4 Paparazzi Productions
Paparazzi Productions provided a better faction for Kevin Nash in TNA to deliver his tremendous comedic wit. Alex Shelley often filmed other wrestlers like a member of the paparazzi with his sidekick Johnny Devine. Nash eventually became their leader offering guidance due to his veteran status.
The comedic skits often stole the show with Nash delivering incredible one-liners. Shelley delivered in the ring whenever he got a chance to showcase his skills and could have been a far bigger star if TNA booked him well. Paparazzi Productions deserves some love as one of the most underrated factions in the company.
3 Christian's Coalition
Christian Cage became one of the top main event acts for TNA when joining the promotion. Other stars joining in a face role like Kurt Angle and Sting would allow Christian to turn heel where his best work often came from.
Tyson Tomko joined TNA to pick up his prior WWE role as the sidekick and bodyguard of Christian. AJ Styles eventually joined and showcased the character side of his skills since he was doing nothing of note before then. Scott Steiner even contributed as a fourth members. Christian's Coalition provided great entertainment as an underrated faction few people remember.
2 3 Live Kru
One of the first factions in TNA during the weekly PPV days came in the form of 3 Live Kru. The passion for hip hop from Road Dogg, R-Truth and Konnan would see them portray a trio of rappers. They often cut rap song promos on the way to the ring and teamed together in the tag division.
3 Live Kru had its fair share of flaws with the two older wrestlers declining. R-Truth became the standout member of the group and would eventually get signed by WWE due to his TNA work. 3 Live Kru officially ended when Billy Gunn joined TNA and Road Dogg moved back into a tag team with his old partner instead.
1 The Beat Down Clan
The later years of TNA would see the Beat Down Clan become a faction in 2014-2015. MVP led the faction as the talker with talented stars like Samoa Joe, Lashley, Kenny King, Low Ki and Homicide joining at different points in the group’s run together.

Hernandez returned to TNA to join the Beat Down Clan, but that caused the end of the group. The Lucha Underground contract of Hernandez prevented TNA from using the months of television taped with him in the group. The Beat Down Clan ended without much fanfare and failed to hit the potential it showed as a promising act.
