10 Ways That WWE and AEW Could Actually Work Together
Emily Bell The Wednesday Night Wars came to an end in April after NXT moved to Tuesday nights on the USA Network. Now that the head-to-head competition may be over between NXT and AEW, it might actually be time to think about collaboration instead.

Both Triple H and Tony Khan have said on multiple occasions that if the opportunity is right for both companies, then WWE and AEW can collab. Any form of cooperation would be beneficial for both companies in several ways, although this partnership would definitely benefit AEW more, given that WWE is the more established brand. But the biggest question now is, if these two promotions ever work together, what could they do?
10 NXT Wrestlers Appear On AEW Television
Stars like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles are some of the top wrestlers in WWE. If these stars were to show up on AEW programming, it'll certainly benefit them a lot. However, that's something WWE would want to avoid, as there isn't much to gain by having their top stars appear for a rival company.
What they can instead do is to allow the NXT roster to work with AEW and vice-versa. This wouldn't really hurt either company, as both shows would gain some exposure and will be more beneficial for wrestling fans.
9 Crossover With NJPW
Since AEW has also partnered with Impact Wrestling and NJPW, it wouldn't really be surprising if wrestlers from these promotions appear in WWE as part of AEW's partnership with Vince McMahon's promotion.
There are many great wrestlers in both Impact and NJPW that could provide great matches against WWE superstars. Some of them are dream matches for fans as well.
8 Allow WWE Legends To Show Up On Dynamite
All Elite Wrestling needs a ton of star power at the moment. That's the reason why AEW has signed the likes of Paul Wight, Sting, and more. These stars aren't there for wrestling, they are there to get some name recognition to the company.

WWE has many legends under contract that are either on TV regularly, or aren't used all that often. If AEW can somehow get their hands on a few of them, it'll help them immensely. In return, WWE can just take a few of AEW's top names such as Jericho and Wight or even Sting to appear on their programming once in a while.
7 The Women's Division
AEW has many talented women that WWE can use. Stars like Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Tay Conti are a few that fans really enjoy watching on the television. Their matches against WWE women would definitely arouse interest among the wrestling community.

While there are also great male superstars on both promotions, it wouldn't really be a bad idea if they only focus on the female roster for the time being.
6 Promote AEW Matches On The WWE Network
The WWE Network is the biggest digital media collection of wrestling. Fans get their entire video library for a fraction of a cost and if AEW and WWE ever form some sort of partnership, the least they could do is share the library.
WWE can even host AEW shows on their Network. While this seems very unlikely, and it is, that's one way they can partner together.
5 A WWE Network Special
There's also a possibility that if WWE and AEW work together, these two promotions can do a show together. The show could be exclusive to the WWE Network, because everything doesn't have to be on television.
AEW has signed a lot of great talents and so has NXT. It wouldn't hurt either brand to work together and provide a series of great matches that are produced by both companies. WWE can then drop this show on the Network so that fans could enjoy more wrestling.
4 Invasion Angle
The WCW/ECW invasion angle was an angle that had so much potential. Things could've been successful if the creative heads had planned things better and actually let the WCW/ECW side look more threatening.

This angle could still work even in 2021. AEW can do an invasion angle with WWE and this would help solidify them as a "competition". This could lead to a series of great matches and storylines and it could boost AEW's presence, while giving WWE a huge boost in interest to their weekly programming.
3 A Dual-Branded Pay-Per-View
An AEW and WWE collaboration could lead to an ultimate pay-per-view between the two promotions. Both promotions can book their top champions in a Champions vs Champions style card.
This sort of idea could work out well and doesn't even need to have a lot of buildup. While AEW superstars appearing on WWE programming may not become a reality anytime soon, these two promotions can provide something unforgettable to wrestling fans everywhere with a simple one-off show.
2 Get Ex-WWE Guys From AEW For Special Appearances
Many former WWE superstars such as Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho left WWE to work for AEW. These two were already successful in WWE before leaving.
One of the ways AEW and WWE can agree to a deal is to allow former stars such as Wight, Sting, and Moxley to appear on WWE programming, if there's an angle that makes sense for them to get involved. Fans still remember these stars and it'll be fun to watch them again. This way AEW would also get to promote their brand in front of millions of fans.
1 A Charity Show
Let's not forget that both AEW and WWE are here to dominate the North American wrestling scene. A partnership between them would help AEW more than it would help WWE.
The most probable scenario could be that these two can do a charity wrestling event. This way, WWE would get some good publicity in doing a show that they really don't have to do for a greater cause. The idea of this show would obviously be just a one-night show and cross-promote it.
