10 WWE Wrestlers Who Will Have A Great 2023

The new WWE regime with Triple H in control has seen a renewed hope and positivity both with fans and with the wrestlers in the back. When looking forward to 2023, there are plenty of wrestlers who look primed to have a great year.

Either with momentum built up from 2022 or whether they have been biding their time for a big push, there are some who are sure to have a strong year in the company. Whether it be those who have recently returned to WWE or those whose luck wasn’t great under the rule of Vince McMahon, there are a range of performers who will enjoy the next 12 months.

10 Montez Ford

The Street Profits tag team may have cooled down recently, but that is all the more reason to finally end their duo and push Montez Ford as a singles star.

He is someone who has proven to be ready for at least a midcard title reign sometime soon. 2023 could well be the year that sees him break out and establish a name outside of the tag team division.

9 Tommaso Ciampa

It is well known that Tommaso Ciampa is a favorite of Triple H, and if it weren’t for an ill-timed injury, he would likely be a consistently booked player on Monday Night Raw.

He was in the midst of pursuing the United States Title in 2022, and whenever he returns to action, he could well aim his sights for that prize once again. He would be a terrific midcard titleholder in WWE.

8 Santos Escobar

Although Legado Del Fantasma has gotten off to a slow-ish start on WWE SmackDown, Santos Escobar has already proven how talented he is in the ring. A brilliant match against Ricochet stole the show and raised his stock, and come the new year, he and his faction look sure to build momentum.

Whether it be helping his allies win Tag Team Title gold or aiming for the Intercontinental Title, he will be a vital part of WWE’s midcard division in 2023.

7 Bron Breakker

It feels like just a matter of time before Bron Breakker drops the NXT Title and heads on up to the main roster. For someone who is still quite new to the wrestling business, he is already turning heads and making many believe that he is a future World Champion.

After reigning as the face of NXT for a while now, Breakker will finally move up to the main roster in 2023 and carry on his surge to the top. He may not win any World Titles next year, but expect him to be dominant, perhaps winning the US or IC belt over the next twelve months.

6 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt’s recent WWE return has split fans down the middle, but it does definitely look as though there is a long term plan for his storyline with Uncle Howdy. In addition, WWE would be foolish to ruin his momentum once again, so he will likely be very protected over the coming months.

2023 hosts the chance for Wyatt to finally cement himself as a consistent star in WWE, and finally take his spot winning feuds and dominating rather than being the one to always take the fall and put others over.

5 Raquel Rodriguez

Despite being on the main roster for less than a year, Raquel Rodriguez has already shown great potential, having one of Ronda Rousey’s better matches of 2022, in a losing effort for the SmackDown Women’s Title.

Whether it be as a babyface or a heel, with the right packaging and booking Rodriguez can be a big star. She is simply too good to sit by the sidelines, and 2023 can be the year that she properly breaks out as a star in the women’s division.

4 Sami Zayn

In the second half of 2022, Sami Zayn has been perhaps the biggest highlight of WWE television. He is the most over act in the company, and his ascent to huge babyface status hasn’t even happened yet, with that primed to take place in 2023.

When WWE pulls the trigger on his babyface turn, magic will certainly take place, and he will rise up the card in a major way. The natural popularity Zayn is procuring was last seen in Becky Lynch prior to her climb to become the face of the women’s division at the back end of 2018, so fans should expect big things from Zayn next year.

3 Gunther

Since joining WWE’s main roster and winning the Intercontinental Title, Gunther has been WWE’s most consistent big match player, with multiple great matches over the last few months.

With a rumored match with Brock Lesnar in the works per WrestlingNews.Co, it looks as though WWE has big plans in store for the Ring General. Fans should expect a movement towards the main event scene sometime soon.

2 Cody Rhodes

When Cody Rhodes returns from injury, he will likely be WWE’s biggest babyface bar none. This was in the process of happening last year before he was ruled out of action, and if WWE plays their cards right, they have the natural successor to Roman Reigns’ record-breaking Undisputed WWE Universal Title reign.

Even if he doesn’t win a World Title, Rhodes will likely be in top programs throughout the year.

1 Rhea Ripley

Out of everyone in WWE’s women’s division, Rhea Ripley currently looks like the next one to break into the main title picture and stay there. Her time in the Judgment Day has pushed her to the next level, and Triple H seems to be close to pulling the trigger on a title challenge.

Ripley feels like the perfect person to beat Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Title, and to kickstart a dominant reign throughout 2023 as the number one heel on the women’s roster.
