Arthdal Chronicles, A fantasy and romantic Korean TV series premiered on tvN in 2019 before being featured on Netflix. The series has been directed by Kim Won Seok and written by Park San Hyun and Kim Young-Hyun. Season 1 streamed for 18 episodes, and the reception was quite impressive. The series is based on a mythical and fictional world of Arth in which citizens get into a fight to build a new society. The highly anticipated second season of “Arthdal Chronicles” is set to begin filming this year, according to production company Studio Dragon. tvN previously revealed in February 2020 that the second season of “Arthdal Chronicles” will shoot in the second half of the year.

Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 is set to be released in September 2023 along with a webtoon and an MMORPG, according to an official announcement in February 2022.

Is Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 canceled?

Today, there has been no formal notification about launch dates. We’ve been looking forward to the new updates as much as you have. However, given the current situation, it’s safe to assume that the launch will be delayed. The series has been renewed for a second season on Netflix.

There were various hints as to how the remaining installment of the K-drama was made. An Instagram post from the set of Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 was posted on May 30, 2021. The post was later removed, according to sources. Perhaps the creators do not want to reveal too much about the project.

On October 1, 2021, actor Ki Do-Hoon, who played Yangcha, shared a story to his personal Instagram account. The image in the story was of Ki Do-Hoon dressed as Yangcha. He also appears to be getting makeup applied to him.

It’s safe to say Season 2 shows up not earlier than late 2022. However, if the pandemic situation gets worse, the dates might be pushed even further.

Season 1 ended in a cliffhanger though there was no detailed plot launched. Some fans expressed dissatisfaction with how the series ended, but the suspense makes them look forward to season 2. Since the expected plot for season 2 has not yet been released, we can only hope for more drama, mystery, and prowess.
