According to Fightful Select, Madcap Moss was given further examination by WWE after a nasty bump he took in the ring against Drew McIntyre at the Elimination Chamber premium live event this past weekend. Out of concern that he might have both taken the move wrong and seriously hurt himself, a conversation needed to be had backstage to ensure he was ok, good to keep working and such a situation wouldn't repeat itself.

There was a scary moment during The Elimination Chamber event when McIntyre tried to deliver an Alabama Slam to Moss and Moss rolled over too far and landed on his head. It wasn't clear if he was trying to roll through the move or just over-rotated, but it was concerning as he landed directly on his head and neck and could have done some serious and permanent damage. Reports are that further testing showed no injury issues which is the best news.

The second part of the equation was the concern that maybe Moss made a mistake and he was aware that he might have made people look bad. He apologized to Vince McMahon, Drew McIntyre, and WWE agents after the match, trying to let them know this spot wouldn't happen again. Apparently, everyone involved in the match went over the spot and broke down how it went sideways. They then talked to Moss about how to take the move and ensure it doesn't happen again.

McIntyre didn’t receive heat and it was deemed not to be his fault. WWE sees him as a safe worker and he didn't do anything wrong in that incident. Moss is said to be eager to prove this was a one-off and not something WWE can expect to happen again in the future.

McIntyre Praised Moss After The Match

Following Elimination Chamber, and perhaps following his conversation with Moss, McIntyre tweeted: "Do not sleep on @MadcapMoss, he is one TOUGH SOB 🤯 He just needs some proper guidance and a career awakening like I had and he'll be something special. Now I have my eyes set on you."
