Bray Wyatt Posts Cryptic Twitter Message After Title Loss, Future Unclear
Andrew Patterson Perhaps no one is hit harder than Bray Wyatt after WWE chose to take the title off of him at Super ShowDown on Thursday. While he'll likely move on to have a prominent spot at WrestleMania, his title run comes to a premature end and his momentum potentially halted. Wyatt spoke today, sending a cryptic message to his fans.
"Life is a circle. No matter what beast you make of yourself or how bright one side is, inevitably the dark side comes again. But the beauty of the circle is, round we go," Wyatt said on Twitter Friday. The post comes less than 24 hours after losing the Universal Championship and prior to his likely appearance on SmackDown Friday night.
What the tweet means is unclear but there are two possible meanings here.
First, he's either still in character suggesting his Firefly Funhouse side is bright but the darkness of The Fiend will overpower and return. Second, he's likely responding to a great number of fans in the WWE Universe who are up in arms over the company's decision to put the title around a part-time star who is likely to lose it at WrestleMania 36. A good chunk of those fans believe The Fiend should have been the one to walk into WWE's biggest show of the year as the champion after all the work he's done this year to reinvent himself and become arguably the biggest star in the company.
The tweet also seems to hint that Wyatt isn't happy he longer holds the title, but he's confident his character isn't dead. Essentially, he'll start again and go around in the circle, finding his next opponent and doing more of what he's already done.
The question now is, will he battle Goldberg, John Cena or someone else?
WWE Better Hope Wyatt Is Right
After the decision to have The Fiend lose, Vince McMahon better hope Wyatt is right, in that his future is more a circle than a stop sign. If WWE just killed everything Wyatt has built over the past year, that would be a real shame.
If it's a circle and the title loss isn't a long-term problem, The Fiend's popularity will shine through regardless of whether he holds a belt or not. The darkness will rise and The Fiend will be more dominant than ever knowing he's not indestructible.
