Chavo Guerrero Reacts To Seth Rollins Raw Attack
Emma Horne A lot happened on Raw on Monday night. Survivor Series fallout, four titles matches, and the hunt for Vince McMahon's very expensive golden egg. However, the biggest talking point coming out of the show is what happened to Seth Rollins. After a segment with Finn Balor, Rollins was tackled by a fan who jumped the barricade. Thankfully, Rollins is okay, suffering nothing more than a busted lip.
Rollins Attacked, Chavo Reacts
It was likely incredibly scary in the moment. There's no telling what the attacker was attempting to achieve, and it's possible he could have had a weapon on him. Rollins clearly didn't see the fan until very late too, hence the force knocking the former WWE Champion to the ground. The incident was handled incredibly well, and after a short period off-camera, Rollins was shown laughing at Balor as he made his way backstage.

Despite all that, former WWE Superstar Chavo Guerrero made the odd decision to seemingly take a shot at Rollins for the whole thing. “Remember when the wrestlers were tougher than the fans? Ah, the good ol’ days,” Guerrero tweeted. The former Cruiserweight Champion is presumably referring to a time when fans who jumped the barricade would be taken backstage where wrestlers could exact their own form of punishment on them, or do so in front of everyone else in attendance.
This Isn't "The Good Ol' Days"
There are a number of reasons why Guerrero's take on the situation isn't great. For starters, there's no way of knowing the mental state of the attacker until we learn more about them. At the moment all that has been revealed is his name, age, and the charges brought against them by the NYPD. You also can't just beat up someone on live television. Had Rollins reacted in any other way, he may well be facing charges too, or possibly even legal action.
The implication that Rollins couldn't handle the fan is also a strange stance to take. As highlighted above, the fan ran at Rollins full speed and the Superstar doesn't see him until late, hence why he doesn't have time to react. Not only could Rollins have more than likely handled himself had he seen the fan earlier, but the WWE locker room is filled with present-day stars who are, without a doubt “tougher than the fans”. Brock Lesnar, Riddle, Shayna Baszler, and Bobby Lashley are all former MMA stars, not to mention someone like Omos and probably pretty much every performer backstage.
