As if it wasn't enough that we're getting a Five Nights At Freddy's movie, there's also a Dead by Daylight movie on the way, and the game's fans are already wondering, "When will the Dead by Daylight movie come out?" Before the movie hits theaters or streaming services, we'll need to speculate about the film's release date, cast, plot, and more. While not everything is set in stone, there are quite a few things we already know about the upcoming movie made by Behaviour Interactive and other collaborating studios.

12 October 2023 - News this week? It's a long shot...

We realise this is potentially a bit of a longshot, but Behavior Interactive is holding a DBD livestream this week to showcase a bunch of news that will mostly focus on the Haunted by Daylight Halloween Event.

Now we know the team will be covering a lot more during the stream and given its Halloween time, it wouldn't be ridiculous to hope for news about the Dead by Daylight Movie.

Obviously, we're speculating here, but we wouldn't be surprised if we get a little bit of news from the team or Blumhouse. Stay tuned and keep those fingers crossed for news.

6 July 2023 - If Nicolas Cage IS In The Movie

Will Nicolas Cage be in the Dead by Daylight movie? Honestly, we don't know at this stage, but we really hope if he is involved he brings the same chaotic voicelines that players are discovering in the game following his release on the PTB.

Dead By Daylight Movie Release Date Speculation

The Dead by Daylight movie was announced in March 2023, and, as far as we know, filming has yet to even begin, so it's unlikely that we'll get an official release date soon. We speculate that the movie will probably come out late 2024 at the earlier, but it's up in the air as producers have not said a word about the movie's planned release date.

Who's Been Cast In The Dead By Daylight Movie

For now no official cast list has been released for the Dead by Daylight movie, but it's possible that that will change in the near future. Considering Nicolas Cage was recently announced to be added to the game as a survivor, we could very well see him play a role in the film.

That being said, the Dead by Daylight movie will be made by James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring) and Jason Blum, under a collaboration between Behaviour Interactive, Blumhouse, and Atomic Monster.

What Is The Plot For The Dead By Daylight Movie

It's unknown what the Dead by Daylight movie plot might look like. It's very likely that the movie will take place in the Entity's Realm, but we don't know which characters might be featured; it could center around The Legion, such as in the upcoming Titan Comics series, or focus on other characters from the game like The Hillbilly.

It's also possible that the studios could take a completely different route with the plot, introducing new characters to face The Fog.

Does Dead By Daylight Movie Have A Trailer Yet

Unfortunately, no Dead by Daylight movie trailer has been released quite yet. We'll be sure to add it to this page as soon as the studios behind the movie publish one.
