Where to find every painting in Dishonored 2.

Dishonored 2 has several collectibles, and the paintings are among the best. Nabbing them earns you a tidy stack of cash, which is reward enough, but they also look beautiful and have arresting names, which makes finding them pretty fun.

There are several paintings in most active mission areas barring your initial trek through Dunwall Tower. We list them in your key mission objectives and also point them out as they crop up in our Dishonored 2 walkthough. In the sections below, divided by loading screen, we link out to the appropriate walkthrough page in case you need more help tracking them down - Ctrl+F is your friend.

Mission 01: A Long Day in Dunwall - Dunwall Streets

Two paintings can be found in this mission - both in the second section, after the loading screen between the safe room and Dunwall Streets.

Curtis, Morgan and the Postulate Child
In the corridor just after you begin this section after leaving the safe room. If you've already dropped down from the rooftops, you missed it.
The Obtuse Arguments of Lady Boyle
In Dr Galvani's laboratory, a building right by the tower; you come to it before you turn up the long street. It's above the fireplace.

Mission 02: The Edge of the World - Karnaca Dockyard Quarter

Collect four paintings in Karnaca before boarding the carriage to Addermire Institute.

Painting 1
In a tiny apartment apparently belonging to a witch, high above the initial starting area. I forgot to write down this one's name, sorry!
The Outsider in Conditional Dreams
In the heretic's house, between the windmill area and the Overseer's Outpost. Right by the Outsider shrine.
The Isometry of High Overseer Thaddeus Campbell
Near the safe in the Overseer's Outpost.
Hypatia’s Projective Gaze
In Hypatia's apartment, above Winslow's Safes, opposite Addermire Station.

Mission 03: The Good Doctor - Addermire Institute

Collect three paintings as you take in the many and varied sights of Addermire Institute, an excitingly horrible place.

Duke Abele’s Propositional State
Right next to the wall of light in the main lobby area.
Anton Sokolov in Subtractive Light
In the hidden basement level, only accessible after breaking the lift cables and climbing down.
I Regard Her, Inside And Out
In the arena where you find Dr Hypatia and confront the Crown Killer, tucked away in a corner room near the stairs at the entrance.

Mission 04: The Clockwork Mansion part 1 - Upper and Lower Aventa District

You can find three paintings in Aventa District, so make sure you have them before you enter the Clockwork Mansion itself.

The Spymaster’s Axis of Asymmetry
Lower Aventa. On the third floor of a building off an alley next to the station. Climb in via the balcony.
Ramsey’s Stochastic Eyes
Lower Aventa. In an apartment diagonally-opposite the station, close to the gate where you exit the sewers.
Jindosh Considers an Odd Numerator
Upper Aventa. In a small bloodfly-infested apartment - not the posh one full of civilians!

Mission 04: The Clockwork Mansion part 2 - Clockwork Mansion

Don't get caught in the machinery as you loot three paintings from Kirin Jindosh's amazing home.

The Blood Topology of Grim Alex
In Sokolov's cell in the Assessment Chamber.
I Look Upon the Craftsman
In a small room between the laboratory where you eliminate Jindosh and a nearby bathroom with a spinning section.
Light Along the Inverse Curve
Right By Kindosh's desk in the laboratory, because of course it is.

Mission 05: The Royal Conservatory - Cyria Gardens and Royal Conservatory

There are three paintings in and around the Royal Conservatory, and one of them is very sneaky!

Ashworth Within An Existential Graph
In the nestkeeper's apartment, right by the safe.
My Fires Burn Within Breanna’s Marrow
On the stairs linking floor 3 and floor 4 in Breanna Ashworth's office in the Royal Conservatory.
Her Heart I Bathed in Poison
Climb onto the bookshelves behind the audiograph desk in the Archives in the basement of the Royal Conservatory. The key to this room is in the custodian's office on the same level.

Mission 06: Dust District - Batista District

The wild lilac is one one of the only sources of beauty in this dirt-poor area, so you should feel a little guilty for stealing the three paintings that brighten the region up.

Vera Moray and the Affix of Her Skin
Near the Outsider shrine in Paolo's apartment above The Crone's Hand Saloon.
Paolo and the Inaccessible Cardinal
In Paolo's apartment, top floor.
Indiscrete Time Finds Aramis Stilton
On the fourth floor of the Overseer's Outpost. As you exit from the stairs it's to your right, but you have to take a detour to get to it.

Mission 07: A Crack in the Slab - Aramis Stilton's Mansion

Stilton's mansion was looted clean long ago (presumably before he set the Jindosh Lock!) but in the past timeline you can find two paintings.

The Communtative Rats and the Weeper
In the vault off the dining room. You can walk through the open door in the original present timeline, but the painting is only available in the past,
The Torturer’s Quaternionic Groan
In the small library on the second floor, above the pool room. Get here in the original present timeline by collapsing the balcony or climbing through the windows you prevented the repair of, then switch to the past to steal it.

Mission 08: The Grand Palace part 1 - Ravina Boulevard, Palace District

The sole painting you find in Ravina Boulevard, Palace District has a special significance for fans of the first Dishonored.

Daud and the Parabola of Lost Seasons
Get up on the rooftop with the windmill then drop down to the blaconies below to access the apartment where this painting is hidden.

Mission 08: The Grand Palace part 2 - Grand Palace

Two paintings are found in adjoining rooms in the Grand Palace.

My Name on Their Lips
Above the fireplace in the duke's office.
Her Face is My Smile
Tucked away in a corner near the piano right by Delilah Copperspoon's Chambers.
