Far Cry 6 Easter Eggs - Atari Gun Skin

Each gun in Far Cry 6 has skins that can be unlocked, including the Desert Eagle handgun. One of the skins for the Desert Eagle is the Wood Panel skin, which gives the gun a decal representing the Atari 2600 console. Along with the wood aesthetic, the skin gives the Desert Eagle ridges along the top and a few subtle details that were on the Atari system. The barrel of the gun has an inscription that reads, "Power," while the other end of the slide says, "TV Type," and both are featured on the Atari 2600. The Wood Panel Desert Eagle skin costs three spray cans for players to unlock in Far Cry 6.

Far Cry 6 Easter Eggs - QR Codes

There are currently two QR codes that have been discovered in Far Cry 6, and each one will lead players to additional Far Cry-related content. The first one can be located on the wooden shipping crates that are scattered around Yara. After scanning the code in real life, players will be shown a brief animated reel that is likely linked to one of the upcoming Far Cry 6 DLC episodes. The animation shows a close-up of 3D map that resembles Far Cry 5, and Joseph Seed will be a playable character in one of the expansions.

The second QR code is located on the collar of K-9000, a robotic dog Amigo in Far Cry 6. The code can be difficult to scan because K-9000 doesn't stay still, and the Amigo is only available for players that purchased the season pass. If the code is scanned, it will take players to a Blood Dragon website with a note from Dolph Laserhawk. By entering the site, players will also find a puzzle that can be completed to reveal a preview for the upcoming Captain Laserhawk Netflix show.

Amigo and shipping crate QR codes lead to unique content that helps to extend the player's experience beyond the game. Although promotional in nature, these Easter Eggs give players the opportunity to find secret content which enhances the overall gameplay and story of Far Cry 6. The QR codes are small and easily missed, so there could be others included in the game that have yet to be discovered.

Far Cry 6 Easter Eggs - Breaking Bad

Besides the Los Pollos and Heisenberg skin packs, Far Cry 6 includes a major reference to the widely successful television series, Breaking Bad. The reference comes in a cutscene where Anton Castillo mentions that Julio is a dog that refuses to break and needs to be put down. The line is almost a direct quote from Giancarlo Esposito's Gus Fring in Breaking Bad. Both characters are ruthless in their own ways, and it's interesting to see one pay homage to the other. This Breaking Bad Easter Egg in Far Cry 6 is subtle and missable if players aren't paying close attention.

Far Cry 6 Easter Eggs - Leap of Faith

Although Far Cry 6 has several references to Assassin's Creed, the most memorable, and the most interesting Easter Egg, is the leap of faith. On the starting island, players can find a tall tower, and they can use the ladder inside to reach the top. There is a wooden plank at the top that overlooks a small clearing with a pile of hay in it. Players that are familiar with Assassin's Creed will recognize this as the landing zone for the iconic leap of faith, which has been included in the series since the first Assassin's Creed game.

If players approach the end of the wooden plank at the top of the tower, they will hear the same eagle call that is usually heard at a viewpoint in Assassin's Creed. Unfortunately, if players try to leap into the hay, Dani will perish. Far Cry 6 seems to be making fun of the unrealistic mechanics in Assassin's Creed that let players jump from any height and survive as long as there's a bush or some hay to land in. Any Assassin's Creed player will likely get some amusement from this Easter Egg.

Far Cry 6 Easter Eggs - Players Can Recreate Far Cry 3's Cover

There is an area along a beach in Far Cry 6's open world of Yara that changes each time a player returns. This is one of several changing spots in the game, but this one includes a reference to Far Cry 3. More specifically, players are able to recreate the cover of Far Cry 3 on this intriguing, inconsistent beach. The spot is located on the protruding piece of land in between Burros Bay and Corsario's Cache in the Cape Santa Maria area. Players may need to travel there multiple times to find the Far Cry 3 Easter Egg.

Eventually, players will come to this location in Far Cry 6 and find a bucket atop a mound of sand. Shooting the bucket off will reveal a man buried up to his neck in the sand. This is a clear reference to the cover of Far Cry 3 which featured Vaas leering menacingly over a similar victim. Players can then enter photo mode and choose pose nine: Vaas. This gives players the opportunity to recreate the cover of Far Cry 3 with Dani. Due to the Far Cry 6 DLC, which includes Vaas as a playable character, it's not surprising that the developers referenced him in the campaign, but it's still fun to stumble upon the buried man and pose Dani behind him.

There are over 40 Easter Eggs for players to discover throughout Far Cry 6. Some are tucked away in otherwise empty areas while others can be found during the main story. Finding all of the Easter Eggs will likely take up a lot of time, but some of them are worth experiencing, especially for fans of the Far Cry series and those that are familiar with other Ubisoft titles. In any case, Far Cry 6 continues the series' trend of interesting, hidden Easter Eggs.
