His 5 Best Matches On RAW (& 5 On SmackDown)
Ava Richardson There is only one AJ Styles. He's one of the hottest commodities in WWE today, with both brands desperate for his services. Like few other wrestlers, AJ can establish himself within a brand and bring the entire roster up to his level.

Since debuting four years ago, Styles has clashed with the best of the best and some of the brightest up-and-comers that WWE has to offer. His PPV appearances have been memorable, but Styles can also pull out five-star matches on RAW and SmackDown with anyone who steps in the ring with him.
10 RAW: AJ vs. Dean Ambrose (June 27, 2016)
The Lunatic Fringe was the WWE Champion when he faced Styles on this episode of RAW. AJ was trying to get into the championship match at Battleground and to secure his spot, he needed to defeat Dean Ambrose one-on-one.
Styles attempted to finish the bout early by going for the Styles Clash, but Ambrose countered by trying to land Dirty Deeds. After multiple close finishes and Ambrose almost tapping out to the Calf Crusher, it would be John Cena who would distract Styles by trading fists with Gallows and Anderson, allowing Ambrose to land his finisher and earn the win.
9 SmackDown: AJ vs. The Miz (December 4, 2018)
This match was sanctioned after The Miz delivered a Skull Crushing Finale to AJ after he interrupted a segment with Daniel Bryan on Miz TV. Miz was in control for most of the match and landed all of his signature moves, including his finisher to Styles for a two-count.
Somehow, AJ managed to scramble back and lock Miz in the Calf Crusher to pick up the win by submission. His victory didn't last long, as The New Daniel Bryan would rush the ring and lay a beating on Styles.
8 RAW: AJ vs. Rey Mysterio (November 25, 2019)
AJ was scheduled to face Humberto Carrillo, but he was taken out before the bout by Gallows and Anderson. After bragging about not having an opponent, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, and Drew McIntyre proposed a fatal four-way with the winner facing Styles for his United States Championship.

Rey Mysterio won the contest and immediately faced the champ. Both veterans delivered a classic match, which saw Mysterio come out victorious and become the new United States Champion.
7 SmackDown: AJ vs. Andrade (September 18, 2018)
Andrade and AJ's first encounter was a great showcase of what the Mexican superstar is capable of, but their second encounter was even more exciting. The two locked horns weeks before Super ShowDown in Australia, AJ was scheduled to defend his WWE Championship against Samoa Joe but knew he had to have his wits about him to defeat Andrade on SmackDown.
The two countered each other multiple times as they both attempted to gain an advantage. It would be Andrade who would make one too many mistakes and fall prey to the Styles Clash, which would lead to the three-count.
6 RAW: AJ vs. Ricochet (July 1, 2019)
When these two get matched up, fans expect to see plenty of high-flying antics, and that's precisely what they got on this episode of RAW when they met for the United States Championship. Ricochet didn't mess about and used his speed to get the advantage over Styles.
AJ managed to land The Phenomenal Forearm and score a three-count, but the referee missed Richochet's foot on the bottom rope. The match was restarted, and Ricochet managed to counter a Styles Clash to pick up the victory.
5 SmackDown: AJ vs. Dolph Ziggler (August 23, 2016)
Fresh off beating John Cena and becoming the new face of SmackDown after the brand split, AJ got into a backstage confrontation with Dolph Ziggler, which naturally led to a match between the two.
There was no championship on the line, but both competitors fought as if the loser would be fired. On multiple occasions, it seemed like either wrestler could pick up the victory, but it would be Styles that would emerge victorious after landing the Styles Clash.
4 RAW: AJ vs. Sami Zayn (April 11, 2016)
Two of the best wrestlers on the roster met a couple of weeks after WrestleMania 32. Styles was fresh off a loss to Chris Jericho and was looking to get back on a winning streak while Zayn was still establishing himself on the main roster. Styles and Zayn had everything to gain, and each of them pulled out everything in their arsenal to try to get one up on the other.

After multiple counters, Styles was able to land the Phenomenal Forearm to finally put Zayn away.
3 SmackDown: AJ vs. Daniel Bryan (October 30, 2018)
A match between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan would typically be exclusive to a PPV or at least a main event of RAW or SmackDown. However, this bout would not only open this episode of SmackDown, but it would be for the WWE Championship.
As expected when you have two talented wrestlers in the ring, they put on an amazing performance and told a fantastic story. Styles managed to squeak through with a win by making Bryan tap to the Calf Crusher.
2 RAW: AJ vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro (April 4, 2016)
Fans often consider the RAW after WrestleMania as the best episode of the year. There are often call-ups from NXT, fresh storylines commence, and the crowd is always at their loudest. As Roman Reigns had just become WWE Champion at the showcase of the immortals, a new number one contender needed to be decided.
Enter Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, Cesaro, and AJ. Y2J was the favorite and looked like he would pick up the win after landing the Codebreaker on Styles. But, AJ managed to fight back and hit the Styles Clash to become the new contender for Reigns' title.
1 SmackDown: AJ vs John Cena (February 27, 2018)
After six months away from the blue brand, John Cena made his return to WWE, and the first wrestler to welcome him back was AJ Styles. Styles was the WWE Champion and Cena wanted the belt. To get into the title match at Fastlane, Cena needed to defeat the champ in a non-title bout.
Both competitors were more than familiar with each other and were able to make this bout one of their best encounters. But on this occasion, it would be Super Cena that would pick the victory and secure his spot in the title match.
