Eager to jump into the suit of Isaac Clarke and start your horrifying sci-fi journey on the iconic USG Ishimura in the Dead Space Remake? Well, we are too, but some gamers might want to know how long it would take to beat or fully complete the Dead Space Remake before investing their time and money. 

Motive Studio's Dead Space Remake looks fantastic, and it is a true Remake, not a "remaster," like some other games we've seen in the past. Let's take a look at how much time you should be able to squeeze out of the Dead Space Remake in terms of average hours to complete it.

How Long is Dead Space Remake? Time To Beat/Complete

While there is some new material reported in the Dead Space Remake compared to the original, such as Isaac Clarke getting a voice (by Gunner Wright) and gameplay elements have been enhanced, it appears that the original story and puzzles remain intact.

There are, however, several new side quests that flesh out characters and also give some characters their first appearance, which we've only heard from in Audio Logs in the original. This will surely add to the time it would take to beat the Dead Space Remake, as players will have more threads to follow.

In an interview with Screenrant, senior writer Jo Berry explains:

The bones of the story are very close, but what you do and who you interact with may have different context. A lot of the changes live in the characters, and they ripple through the story. It’s sort of like going on your favorite road trip again, but this time with some interesting detours. And the people you’re with are old friends, but they may have a little more to say.”

So how long exactly will it take to beat or fully complete the Dead Space Remake considering the new content? At the time of writing, we can only make a guestimate based on the original's completion times via historical data from HLTB and add a few hours to the tally for the side content.

Our best guestimate is that the Dead Space Remake should take around 12 to 14 hours to beat, and to complete fully, it should take roughly 25 hours or more.

This also depends on player skill and maybe if you have to replace some peripherals after breaking them due to a fright from an encounter with a necromorph. 

We will endeavor to update this article once gamers across the globe start clocking completion times for the Dead Space Remake. For now, take the guesstimates for what they are, speculation as to how long it would take to complete the Dead Space Remake.
