In Animal Crossing's newest installment, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, K.K. Slider, a guitar-playing dog that has been a staple of the games since the Nintendo Gamecube, has become a music sensation across the world. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players will have to work hard to recruit more island inhabitants if they want to convince K.K. Slider of performing on their small island.
Although the best way to listen to K.K. Slider's music is through live performance, the musician has released a slew of tracks that players can acquire as items to play at their own convenience or put up for display on the walls of their home. The game doesn't explicitly teach players how to use these music tracks, so here is a quick guide on how to register music tracks in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
How To Register Music Tracks In Animal Crossing New Horizons
Before a player can register tracks onto their music playing devices, they will need to purchase the tracks they desire or acquire them through other means. The Nook Shopping application accessed via the Nook Stop in the Resident Services tent/building will always contain one K.K. Slider track. These items change daily, so make sure to check each day for new tracks.
Nook Shopping has a built-in gifting system that allows users to send items directly to their friends without needing to mail a letter through the airport. Players should notify their friends list if to keep an eye out for any of the tracks they are looking for.
There are a few songs that cannot be bought from Nook Shopping and that must be obtained through other means. The tracks "Animal City", "Drivin'", and "Farewell" all need to be requested when he performs on the player's island to be received. K.K. Slider will give the track to the player after he performs or will send it to the player's mailbox.
Once the player has acquired the desired tracks, they can register these tracks to play in their home by placing them into a record player or radio. Registering the track will remove it from the player's inventory and added it to that device's list of playable songs. The selected song will be played automatically and will also play whenever a player enters the room containing the music player.
