Does Payday 3 Have Crossplay?

Yes, Payday 3 will have full crossplay support at launch on 21 September 2023. Players from all available platforms (PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S) will be able to play together. At the time of writing, the only thing that is unclear is if you will have the option to turn off crossplay if you so desire.

That's right, no matter which edition of Payday 3 you purchase, on any available platform, you will be able to play with your friends from the same or different platforms. Remember, the game is also available as a Day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles! This means that if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can play the game without purchasing any editions. 

Does Payday 3 Have Cross-Progression?

The simple answer is YES! Payday 3 offers full cross-progression support. This means that, for example, you can play Payday 3 on PC and carry on your progress to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S consoles, and visa versa. You will likely need to sign up to Starbreeze Nebula and link your gaming platform's account. This information comes straight from the developer Starbreeze Studios, as they've confirmed both full crossplay and cross-progression functionality via the game's official FAQ, stating:

PAYDAY 3 supports crossplay with all supported platforms, which means that you can play with your friends no matter where they prefer to play. You will also be able to avail of cross-progression, so you can heist from your preferred platform at any time.
