Overview

Dr. Liang has research interests and experience in the fields of lupus nephritis, cardiorenal failure, acute kidney injury, and nephrolithiasis. She has done several retrospective studies in biomarkers for lupus nephritis and their correlation with renal biopsy findings. She has performed a pilot prospective study evaluating the efficacy and safety of a peripheral ultrafiltration device in patients with cardiorenal syndrome. She has also performed a randomized controlled trial comparing a protocolized diuretic strategy to usual care in cardiorenal syndrome. She has published several retrospective studies in the fields of acute kidney injury, renal replacement therapy, and nephrolithiasis, as well as several case reports and book chapters on various topics in general nephrology.
