Professional Background

Dr. Lauren Nye is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subcertification in medical oncology. She completed a fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Nye specializes in the management of the continuum of breast cancer - from breast cancer prevention to treatment of breast cancer to improving survivorship. She wants to guide patient’s through their individual journey.
She sees patients in her High Risk Breast Clinic who are at an increased risk for breast cancer which can include having a family history of breast cancer, carrying a genetic mutation increasing the risk of breast cancer or having a prior breast biopsy that elevates ones risk for breast cancer. She also sees patients in her Breast Oncology Clinic who have a diagnosis of breast cancer and has a special interest in the management of breast cancer diagnosed during pregnancy.
