Control cards in Marvel Snap have functionality in various decks, but one of the most overlooked cards of this type from Pool 2 is the 5 Energy cost 3 Power Leech, whose ability disables all effects from characters in the opponents' hand On Reveal. A dastardly strategy that may lead to quick retreats from the enemy player, Leech, unfortunately, can be considered a weaker card due to its expensive cost. However, players who take the time to form a deck built around Leech's disruption may find themselves clutching out matches by limiting their foe's options late into a game.
Overall, Leech demands a very limited mindset from the player when including him in a deck, usually requiring either other strong control characters or some way to ramp Energy to play them early. When used correctly, Leech negates the powerful effects seen from strong anchors in the opposing player's hand that have been saved for the sixth turn. Leech pairs well with a deck constructed around multiple anchors that are played early through certain Energy granted abilities. In this build, Leech almost acts like an anchor in their own right as a setup card that clears the way for stronger key characters such as Leader in Marvel Snap, Magneto, Doctor Doom, or even Odin.
Energy Ramp Leech Deck Build
According to content creator Marvel Snap Zone, to further elaborate on the Energy ramping Leech deck, the cards that make this composition work are Psylocke and Electro. The former gives players +1 Energy on their next turn On Reveal, while the latter provides +1 to the player's Max Energy through a similar effect.
However, Electro differs from Psylocke not only by being more expensive at 3 Energy 2 Power instead of 2 Energy 1 Power but also through an Ongoing secondary effect that prevents the player from placing more than one card per turn. Despite this effect, players need that extra Energy to utilize Leech and the variety of anchor cards that give this deck many unique opportunities to take advantage of a game.

Leech - Doctor Octopus Deck Build
While players may feel that the previous deck's high amount of anchor cards may be enough to counter most strategies, Leech also works when used offensively in tandem with cards like Doctor Octopus. The 5 Energy 10 Power leader of the Sinister Six has a fierce effect, pulling four random cards from the other player's hand to their side of its Location in Marvel Snap. When combined with Leech, players can rob their enemies of both the card effects and any plans that might form to just use their Power at other Locations. Swiping cards that have no effect derail enemy strategy in more ways than one, particularly when a Location has a close contest in Power.

Pure Evil Leech Deck Build
Leech always carries a degree of risk, backed up by other cards that predominately rely on their abilities to work due to the control Leech provides. Yet, players that wish to provide their opponent with nothing but continuous ruin may include Leech as icing on a layered cake of aggressive disruption, using cards like Green Goblin and Viper to flood enemy Locations with useless filler that prevents them from gaining Power or placing their cards. While Doctor Octopus may be considered rude in Marvel Snap, nothing compares to disabling all card abilities in hand in addition to Rocks, the Power devaluing Hazmat, and Black Widow preventing players from even drawing another card.
