Professional Background

Pamela Scott is the Director of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs in the Office of Diversity andamp; Inclusion for the School of Medicine. She also has a faculty appointment in the Department of Family Medicine. Ms. Scott earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Education with an emphasis in Student Personnel from Emporia State University. As well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Therapy. She has worked in Higher Education for over 15 years. Her areas of interest include multicultural counseling, student development theories, and admissions and recruitment of underrepresented students. Scott has years of experience in multicultural programming, admissions and college recruitment, and has also worked with TRIO federal outreach programs. Ms. Scott helps marginalized students develop academic skills, gain access to resources and has a firm commitment to helping students excel both inside and outside the classroom.
