For fall/winter 2022, Coach transported viewers from the frenetic streets of New York to a faux-suburbia set dotted with white picket fences and front porches. The runway's dose of warm familiarity extended all the way to the accessories, including an archival Coach handbag that fans can shop now.

In tandem with the show, which took place this afternoon, Coach released a limited-edition "Cashin Carry" Sling bag, a small leather basket bag with gold hardware accents. It's already available online for a limited time, retailing for $495 in five fall tones.

"The Sling bag is an archival Coach piece from Bonnie Cashin’s inspiring first collection for Coach, 'Cashin Carry,'" creative director Stuart Vevers told BAZAAR.com prior to the bag's runway re-introduction. "It's named for the way you can sling it over the shoulder. I love that it evokes the warmth and humor that was so special about Bonnie—and still feels relevant today."

It's also a family tie in a collection that references down-home roots. In a "Coach Neighborhood Newsletter" placed at each audience member's seat, the house described its collection through a setting: an anonymous American town "where it's always golden hour and things are happening." Signed, "Your neighbors."

Coach has a history of remixing its heritage silhouettes to make a modern It bag. The brand's suite of Tabby bags riff on archival '70s designs and have found acclaim on TikTok and in fashion magazines like this one.

Bringing the Cashin Carry into the now relied largely on the color palette. "This season, we imagined the bag in warm, rich hues from our leathergoods heritage and acid bright colors inspired by youth subculture to express how the next generation is remixing references from the past to tell a new story," Vevers said.
