The Elite vs Death Triangle Set For AEW Full Gear
Matthew Harrington Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite was the company's go-home show before Full Gear this weekend. The card featured a tag match between Chris Jericho/Sammy Guevara and Claudio Castagnoli/Bryan Danielson and a singles match between Bandido and Ethan Page to advance in an eliminator tournament to tournament the company's next number one contender. RELATED: CM Punk Makes First Public Appearance Since AEW All OutOne of the highlights of the episode was the match for the AEW World Trios Championship between the defending Death Triangle and their challengers, Top Flight and AR Fox. It was an incredibly fast-paced bout that featured several high-flying stunts. In the end, the Death Triangle came away victorious.
The Elite Set To Return To AEW
After the match ended, the Death Triangle stayed in the ring and spoke to the audience.
Pac called out the Elite directly for the continuous teasing of their return. He asserted that the Elite would not be able to waltz back into AEW and take back the Trios Championships so easily. Despite Pac's promo, it's hard not to feel that momentum is on the side of the Elite.
The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega have been absent from AEW television since All Out as a result of their suspension. The three got into a now infamous backstage altercation with CM Punk after Punk made some combative comments toward the Elite and their friend, Hangman Page. While CM Punk is unlikely to ever return to AEW, the Elite have been hinting at their return for the last few weeks. Now, at Full Gear, fans will finally see the Elite back in the house they built.
