Two Army Drill Sergeants Death News; Victims From Alabama Found Dead At Fort Jackson

Following a period of eight days, the bodies of two drill sergeants from Alabama were discovered at Fort Jackson, which is located in South Carolina.

On Saturday, December 16, 2023, the body of Staff Sergeant Zachary L. Melton, who was thirty years old and from Huntsville, was discovered unresponsive inside his vehicle.

After failing to show up for work, the body of Staff Sergeant Allen M. Burtram, who was 34 years old and from Cleveland, was discovered shortly after eight days had passed.

Due to the fact that investigations are still underway, the cause of death for both sergeants has not been divulged.
