10. Unlocked

Michael Apted helmed the 2017 action thriller Unlocked. Alice Racine, an interrogation officer for the CIA, works undercover at a London community center after an operation in Paris fails under her watch. She shares information with the security services, including MI5 Intelligence Chief Emily Knowles, because of the prevalence of Islamic extremism in the region. Racine’s former mentor and station chief, Eric Lasch, advises her to return to work and not dwell on the deaths in Paris.

9. Triptych

Leonardo D’Antoni helmed the crime film Triptych. In this stimulating examination of language and self-definition, a bookworm, a neurosurgeon, and a singer face health challenges that threaten their ability to pursue their passions and define themselves.

8. My Dad The Bounty Hunter

My Dad, The Bounty Hunter, is an Animated action-comedy series by Everett Downing Jr. When his two kids hitch a ride to space and interrupt his mission as a bounty hunter, he takes fatherhood to a whole new level. When the two children of a bounty hunter hitch a ride into space and crash his latest mission, they learn that their father’s work is anything but boring as they must avoid aliens and engage in laser battles while growing closer as a family.

7. Dear David

An upcoming American supernatural thriller, Dear David, is based on Adam Ellis’s Twitter thread of the same name and directed by John McPhail. Augustus Prew plays Ellis, and the cast also includes Justin Long and Andrea Bang. Here, Adam Ellis, a former employee at BuzzFeed, is haunted by the spirit of a boy who died under the influence of a demon.

6. True Spirit

Inspired by real events, True Spirit stars Teagan Croft as Jessica Watson, a young sailor who sets out to break the record for the youngest solo circumnavigation of the globe. In the process of her sail, she faces and overcomes her fears in some of the ocean’s most treacherous waters. The film is set to air on Netflix on February 3 and stars Anna Paquin, Josh Lawson, and Cliff Curtis.

5. Your Place or Mine

Released on Netflix on February 10, Your Place or Mine marks the first time romantic comedy veterans Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher have worked together. The two play best friends who, after moving in together on opposite coasts, realize they may have been missing out on what they want in life. You can’t find a more appropriate new release for Valentine’s Day.

4. Freeridge

Freeridge, the sequel to the acclaimed coming-of-age drama On My Block, could be Netflix’s next big hit. In Freeridge, Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Briana Salaz play Gloria and Ines, two sisters who have always been at odds with one another and their friends as they try to cope with the unexpected changes in their lives brought on by a curse. On February 2, don’t make the debut of the spinoff.

3. You season 4, part 1

In the premiere of You’s the fourth season, Joe Goldberg returns for more chaos, albeit in a new setting. Joe is still up to no good in London; this time, he’s passing as Professor Jonathan Moore. The premiere of the first five episodes of the fourth season is scheduled for February 9, with the second half following a month later on March 9. A double dose of You is always a good idea.

2. The Upshaws part 3

The Upshaws, one of Netflix’s most underrated comedies, will premiere its third season on February 16. All eight new episodes feature the Upshaws standing by each other no matter how rough things get. The comedy starring Mike Epps, Kim Fields, and Wanda Sykes has been picked up for a third season.

American action-adventure mystery teen drama Outer Banks was created by Josh Pate and is available on Netflix and other streaming services. Teenagers from the Pogue neighborhood of The Cut led by John B., whose father went missing, are the focus of the show’s narrative. They find a legendary treasure with ties to John B.’s father.
