Wolverine took down one of DC's most unkillable antiheroes in an epic fight from Marvel vs. DC's comic book crossover series.

Comic book fans often think about the potential epic fights between Marvel Comics and DC Comics heroes and villains. Unfortunately, Marvel and DC haven't done a crossover series in a while. However, the series DC vs. Marvel (1996) featured two of the publisher's most unkillable heroes in battle as Wolverine fought Lobo.

While we await a new potential crossover from the big two, DC vs. Marvel featured some epic matchups that were decided via fan voting, including Hulk vs. Superman, Captain America vs. Batman, Storm vs. Wonder Woman, and Spider-Man vs. Superboy. One of the more wild fights was Wolverine and Lobo. Wolverine, with his claws and healing factor, fought the big bounty hunter Lobo, who has superhuman strength and is immortal. Surprisingly, there was a winner declared between the two powerhouses.

In the four-issue miniseries crossover's third issue, readers are taken to a mysteriously alien bar "far, far away..." It's the exact spot you might expect to find Lobo or Wolverine. However, the two get into an immediate brawl, as Wolverine pops out his claws to attack, while Lobo whips his titanium chain as he gets ready. Lobo isn't too impressed Wolverine is at one of his favorite hangouts and as Wolverine is insulting the bar, Lobo thrusts the end of his chain into Wolverine's chest.

Trying to kill Wolverine proves to be a mistake, as he puts it "anybody mention to you I'm a mutant? Got this healing factor that lets me take a lot of punishment!" as he lunges at his opponent. Lobo hilariously calls Wolverine a "fragging midget." The two tussle and end up disappearing behind the bar. A victor emerges - as Wolverine appears and grabs a lit cigar and gives it a puff after dealing with Lobo. In this case, Wolverine proved to be the better fighter - although, it's unclear how inebriated Lobo was at the time of the fight - it's safe to assume the answer is "quite a bit."

The DC vs. Marvel Comic miniseries was both a fun and weird experiment. Seeing heroes from the big two battle it out was exciting. However, most of the fights didn't live up the hype. However, Wolverine vs. Lobo proved to be a short but sweet fight. Wolverine earned the victory by taking down Lobo - but given the chance, Lobo would certainly like a rematch. Props to Wolverine for taking down the unkillable hero, he definitely earned that victory cigar and the fan's votes.
