February 25 has another tricky Wordle puzzle for players to solve. The game of Wordle has been gaining popularity all through 2022 with its simple gameplay, one-a-day puzzles, and easy social media sharing ability. With the recent acquisition by The New York Times, the difficulty of the game has seemed to increase and today's answer is no different.

Wordle is played on a 5x6 grid, players are tasked with guessing a five-letter word within the six guesses. To start, players input a random starting word and the game will highlight certain letters green if they are correct, yellow if they are correct but in the wrong spot, or grey if they are not in the word at all. These clues help the player determine their next guess and eventually lead to the correct answer, hopefully. Normally in the game players can use any words they wish at any time, but Wordle does offer a 'Hard Mode' that prevents the reuse of incorrect letters. This mode adds a little more critical thinking to the game and can be accessed through the options menu in the top right corner of the screen.

The most popular feature of Wordle is arguably its social media sharing ability. Whenever a puzzle is completed players will be able to share their results to their favorite social media site, The posts use small colored emoji boxes that represent the player's journey to the answer. These little boxes littered Twitter and Facebook all through the beginning of 2022 and drew in more and more players with their ambiguity. Wordle became so popular that it was eventually purchased by The New York Times for over a million dollars.

Wordle 251 Answer (February 25)

The answer to today's Wordle is VIVID. For our game, we used the starting word ROAST which provided only letters that were incorrect. Secondly, we tried BEING, this gave us the vowel 'I' in the wrong position and a few more incorrect letters. WICKY was the third guess which provided the correct placement of an 'I' but little else. Next up we got lucky by guessing the word LIVID. This paved the way to the correct answer and got a win in five.

Two double letters and an uncommon constant created a very hard Wordle for today, the main tip to remember is removing possible letters is just as important as getting letters correct.
