Wrestlers That WWE's Edge Loves
Matthew Harrington Edge has been one of World Wrestling Entertainment’s most prized superstars. Though he got his start well before he stepped inside the ring for the Stanford-based organization, he honed his craft in WWE. Beginning his tenure with the organization as a young up-and-coming prospect, Edge would go on to have some memorable matches throughout the years.

He was fortunate, performing many of them with some of his closest pals. While the Ontario native did have some real-life beef with a few wrestlers here and there, he made even more friendships that have remained intact.
8 Christian![via tumblr.com]()
Of course, this one is a no-brainer, as both Edge and Christian have been best friends for decades. The duo grew up with each other, routinely dreaming about breaking into the industry and becoming professional wrestlers. Not only were they successful, but they will forever be labeled as one of the best tag teams ever. Some would even argue that they are the best, period.
Edge and Christian are once again working for different wrestling promotions, with the latter now a member of All Elite Wrestling. Yet, both remain close friends, and there’s a good chance we could see these two together again down the road.
7 Beth Phoenix
Edge loves Beth Phoenix, so much so that he married her. Yet, despite both being employed by the same company, the Hall of Fame couple’s romance didn’t ignite until after Edge was forced into an early retirement because of a neck injury. Edge doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to relationships, and a previous marriage to another woman ended after she discovered his affair with Lita.

However, after that romance concluded, The Rated-R Superstar and The Glamazon eventually came together and are now living their lives together, doing so while raising their two daughters.
6 Bad News Brown
Bad News Brown was precisely that, bad. He was born in the mean streets of Harlem, New York, and while he grew up in a rough neighborhood, he eventually became an Olympian, winning a bronze medal in Judo during the 1976 games. After hanging up his gi, Brown became a professional wrestler, making stops in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling.
It was during his time in Canada where he met Edge. Brown took a liking to the youngster, taking him under his wing and mentoring him while helping him secure work in various promotions. Edge took pride that Brown had confidence in him, and he's been open about his appreciation for the now-deceased judoka.
5 Hulk Hogan![edge-hulk-hogan-tag-team-championship]()
Like nearly everyone else on the planet, Edge grew up idolizing Hulk Hogan. He was in attendance for The Hulkster's loss to The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI, with a photo circulating around the internet to prove it. The Rated-R Superstar always believed he would one day main event WrestleMania, but he likely never thought he would eventually end up teaming with Hogan during his career.
Nevertheless, not only did Edge team with his childhood hero, the pair would go on to win the WWE Tag Team Championship on Independence Day in 2002 by defeating Billy and Chuck. Unquestionably, the reign brought them together, and the two have remained close friends ever since.
4 Rhyno
Edge and Rhyno had been buddies before they found themselves on the WWE roster. However, unlike Edge's connection with Christian, his close friendship with Rhyno wasn't something most people knew about at the time.

They were traveling mates over the years, forming a Kliq-like stable alongside Christian and Kurt Angle, with the foursome known as Team RECK. The group had some fun times on the road together, although nobody appreciated Rhyno's unwillingness to pull out his wallet when it came time to pay for things.
3 Chris Jericho
Earning Chris Jericho's respect isn't easy, and if someone stepped over the line, he was certainly going to let you know about it. Just ask Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. Edge is on Y2J's good side, though, with the two having a bond that goes back decades.
Jericho and Edge were even neighbors at one point in their lives, and while they don't have the chance to see each other as much these days for obvious reasons, they remain close.
2 Randy Orton
On TV, Edge and Randy Orton were known as Rated-RKO. The pair was successful, eventually holding the World Tag Team Championship. They've also been adversaries throughout their time with WWE, most recently going against each other at WrestleMania 36 and again at Backlash in a bout dubbed The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever.
Without a doubt, Edge and Orton have been around for a long time, and they are the locker room leaders now that legends like The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H aren't active any longer.
1 The Revival
One of the most heartbreaking things a professional wrestler has to experience is calling it quits before they are ready. Yet, that is what Edge had to do in 2011 after sustaining several neck injuries, relinquishing the World Heavyweight Championship in the process. However, after some time had passed, Edge was given the green light to wrestle again. But first, he needed to get back into shape, and that is exactly where The Revival came in, working with the veteran leading up to his triumphant return at the 2020 Royal Rumble.
Now known as FTR in AEW, the former Tag Team Champions live close to the Hall of Famer. To prepare for Edge's comeback, The Revival would travel to a secret warehouse where he had a ring set up, and they would routinely drill with him to help shake off any residual rust caused by years of inactivity.
